Design a flagship store in a prime location on
Boylston Street in Boston, MA.

Chubbies was founded by three former finance and accounting pros who ditched corporate life to create a lifestyle brand for the guy who knows he’s the guy. The company is best known for its 7-inch inseam short shorts in bold colors and playful
concept
“Choose your own Adventure” Chubbies built its brand around people wearing their shorts in hilariously over-the-top situations. This store is designed to be a backdrop allowing some of those moments to come to life—a lifestyle hub for “Chubsters” who want to hang out like they’re in Dad’s garage or strike a pose in their own window display on Boylston Street. The space is crowned with a Hall of Fame showcasing shorts worn by local “legends” as well as genuinely famous personalities.

RETAIL / LOUNGE SPACE Product is on display with areas set-up for lounge seating, iPads allow customers to look at products online and upload their own fun videos of being in the space.
'DAD'S" GARAGE Bar area with iPads to browse more products, a garage door that opens the space to the large front window display, props and the entry to the live (rotating backdrop) display area.
LIVE DISPLAY Changing backdrops allow customers to be the display in quirky, immersive sets. Their fun/carefree culture becomes the marketing itself.
HALL OF FAME Local Chubbie-wearing heroes nominated for ridiculous achievements. Constantly changing.
BARBIE JEEP RACING A lop around the entire store, illuminated by lighting that feeds into the chubbies culture and energy.it, they can do it.

Barbie Jeep racing transforms the store into an extreme sport arena. Evening and event lighting highlights the track, while spectators gather in lounge areas to watch racers navigate through dynamic zones of the store.
